1. Can you tell me about your home in Beirut and what you love most about it? Maybe a favourite room, toy, or the people.
My favourite room is my bedroom. I love it because all my toys are there, and I like the way I’ve arranged them. I also love my bed. It just feels like my own space.

2. What is a normal day like for you? You can tell me about your school, your friends, or the games you like to play.
On a normal day, I wake up, eat breakfast, get dressed, and go to school. My day there is pretty normal, but we have a new recess system, so I’m still getting used to it.

3. Sometimes life in Beirut can feel noisy or scary. Can you describe a moment when you felt that way and what helped you feel better?
Yes, sometimes Beirut can be scary and noisy. One moment was when I was sleeping and heard a lot of noises outside. It frightened me. What helps is playing, watching TV sometimes, and being with the things I enjoy.

4. What are the things that make you happiest, even when life is difficult?
Playing makes me really happy. So does watching TV, eating my favourite foods, and playing my favourite games.

5. If you could imagine Beirut in the future, what would you want it to look like? Can you describe your dream city?
In the future, I imagine Beirut becoming like London. London feels very advanced, so maybe in 2,000 years Beirut could be like that too. I don’t know exactly, but I hope it becomes better in many ways.
